Beecher Porter

Hello! My name is Beecher Porter and I’m a junior in Trumbull College studying Engineering Sciences - Mechanical. I was drawn to MENG 287 while in search of a hands-on mechanical design class where I could learn about manufacturing processes and apply concepts in real life projects. I’ve always had a passion for building and experimenting which undoubtedly led to my interest in mechanical design. I’m also very into CAD and computer science, and I hope to incorporate those areas into my future endeavors as well. Outside of the classroom, you will most likely find me rowing on the Housatonic river with the heavyweight crew team, or sleeping. I’m excited for what this class has in store and can’t wait to see my designs come to life!
